FAQ: Does O-Glycoprotease (IMPa) require metal ions for activity?

O-Glycoprotease (IMPa) is a metalloprotease. Treatment with chelating agents such as EDTA inactivates O-Glycoprotease. Addition of Mn2+, Zn2+, Cu2+ will cause decreased enzyme activity.
