Although this ribosome preparation is highly active in NEB’s PURExpress Protein Synthesis Kit (NEB #E6800) it is intended as a source of ribosomes only. We supply enough ribosome for approximately 6 E3313S standard PURExpress reactions. For cases where in vitro transcription and translation will be performed exclusively using PURExpress components, the E6800 kit is more cost effective and easier to use.
