Anion Exchange

Return to Nucleic Acid Purification
Anion exchange-based purification methods typically use positively charged DEAE functionalized resins to capture the negatively charged phosphate backbone of target DNA molecules. Using specific salt and pH conditions, samples are bound to the resin, stringently washed to remove contaminants, and selectively eluted. The eluted material is highly pure and can be used directly in demanding downstream applications such as sequencing, microinjection and transfection.
