New England Biolabs® Launches NEBpubs™ App
IPSWICH, MA (December 4, 2015) — New England Biolabs (NEB®) today announced the launch of the NEBpubs app for iPad and Android devices. NEBpubs is a compilation of interactive editions of NEB’s quarterly newsletter, NEB Expressions, as well as popular technical guides and product brochures. Through the app, users will have access to review articles and technical information enriched with video, animation, audio and other interactive elements, all designed to make molecular biology more accessible to a broader audience.
"We developed the NEBpubs app as an additional, more environmentally-friendly way for our customers to access our scientific content, both on- an off-line,” said Andrew Bertera, NEB's Executive Director of Marketing. “In addition to our award-winning catalog and website, users can now learn about new technologies, optimize their experiments, and research NEB products, in a more interactive manner on their own smart devices."
NEB will release exclusive new technical content through the app every month, including videos, animations, audio lectures, and other interactive elements that cannot be found elsewhere in NEB’s printed and digital materials.
NEBpubs is part of a growing family of online tools and resources supporting molecular biology applications from NEB. Another example is the NEBtools app, which houses the popular Double Digest Finder and Enzyme Finder, two online tools designed to assist researchers in setting up restriction enzyme reactions.
